    Lenovo ThinkBook 13s-IML (20RR) No backlight!

    Hello!

    The image is visible, but there is no backlight! On older Lenovo laptops, this problem could have been solved by replacing a fuse, but now I can't find the solution!

      Review the voltage to ground of:

      VBATA_BKLT_CONN ; should be the voltage of +VSYS

      EDP_BKLT_PWM       ; this pulsing line defines the intensity of the backlight

      EDP_BKLT_EN ; turns the backlight ON/OFF from the logic level of '1' or '0'

          Hello everyone, I have this Lenovo motherboard that has no backlight and no 20V power at the connector. I visually inspected the board and it seems this is the backlight circuit. The top resistor along with the capacitor were corroded. I cleaned them and bridged the resistor so it would make contact with the board since the corrosion prevented it (I measured the resistor and its value is 100 kΩ). I also replaced that resistor with another 100 kΩ one, however there is no change — still no backlight.
          Does anyone know if this is the backlight circuit? If so, could you help me with the datasheets...
