recently while trying to flash the Middleton bios for my laptop, I made the dunce move of installing the wrong bios version, by installing the 8943 version (which has an older ec version) onto my 8918. Every attempt I make to update the bios (whether it be middleton's bios or an official image from lenovo) it gives me an error along the lines of "Embedded controller image doesn't match this system" (reminder this is with the version specifically for my laptop). I hope there is a solution to this, and I am willing to try anything. If I do not reply, I am either asleep or at school.
