I have this Dell laptop (LA-J381P boardnumber), with the following things that does work.
Pressing the power button, the laptop turns on and the backlight of the screen turns on also (no image).
Pressing the power button when on, the laptop turns off
With no memory, the laptop does see this and gives me the blinking error code that there is no memory installed.
When the internal LCD is not connected to the motherboard, the laptop does see this and gives me the blinking error code that there is no screen connected.
The BIST test works, so no issue with the screen and replaced the LVDS cable from a working system.
The BIOS battery is okay, it has 3.2V
The CPU seems to work (getting hot) and the fan start spinning when the CPU needs cooling.
The 5V, 3.3V and 1V are present, the battery is also being charged.
The bios chip is the XMC QH256BXIQ, I cannot read (cannot find the chip ) the content with my programmer (EZP2019+), also not with a manually selected equivalent chip.
From a donor board, I pulled the Winbond 25R256JVEN chip and programmed this with the bios file I found in this topic and placed it on the board: click
It did not give any differences unfortunately.
I'm using an original Dell (130W) power supply, it's connected to the Dell Power Meter Box from Parts-People Dell Laptop Experts I have build.
Does some one has any idea what could be wrong?.
