I bought this laptop to play with. Power and HDD lights come on but that's all. No fan or display. Took it apart and found the southbridge getting really hot!! and on inspection there's a burn hole in it. I don't have any BGA stuff except for a heat gun station (Atten 858D). This might be the time to buy a cheap BGA IR station as I have been saving a few other motherboards with graphics chip problems.
