    Acer Predator Helios 300 PH17-54-75K8 no POST after cleaning/repaste

    I had an Acer Predator Helios 300 PH317-54-75K8 (MB 6050A3087503-MB-A01(A1)) brought by a client for internal cleaning due to overheat.
    Easy laptop, simple proccess, I have done it hundreds of times (literally), didn't even need to remove the motherboard. Just disconnected the battery, the fans, carefully removed the heatsink not to stress CPU and GPU, cleaned, repasted and put back together.

    After I assembed it, to my ultimate surprise, the laptop didn't POST. Keyboard backlight lights up, screen does a momentary flash, and then nothing.
    It did a sound on POST when it displayed the Predator logo, now it does not, so I sort off ruled out display problem (not entirely - I have seen too many weird behaviours). It DOES beep if I disconnect or re-connect the AC adapter though.
    Strange enough, even though the CPU and GPU heat up, the fans do not start. Fan power is present on the connector, PWM is not.

    I did all the common, disconnect RTC battery along with all power sources, kept power button pressed, I even flashed the bios. Nothing changed. Visually inspected all the board, nothing seems suspicious. I suspect the EC (IT8987E) because of the lack of fan PWM, but I don't have the means to program it, even if I replace it, so if it turns out to be that, I'll have to send it to another repair shop.

    Any recomendations are welcome, because it's an expensive laptop (i7-10750H - RTX2060) and I'll have to compensate if I fail to bring it back to life

      No, it was normal, Arctic MX-4 paste, the same I use for years. I never had conductivity problems, in the specs it's stated:
      Volume Resistivity 3.8 x 1013 Ω-cm
