Hi guys. I have a lenovo g555 here that returned from waranty. I did reball 1 month ago and now the same problem. I have buyed new chip and replaced the old one but still black screen. Any ideas? Thanks

Integrated one.chip is manufactured 2013 lead balls. Just to be surr I did the reattach at 225 degrees.Comment

So as far as I understand it is NOT a new chip, but used and reballed to lead.
225 degrees is too much for lead balls, try 210 on IR reworkstation, or 215 on hot-air, it should be enough.Comment

Hi guys,
Today I pulled 5 Lenovo T420 laptops out of a bin at the rubbish tip, and they're old school laptops and they're all locked with a supervisor password.
In the past I've unlocked similar Lenovo laptops, often I used the trick of shorting a few pins together on the chip on boot to get into the GUI and overwrite the config but it doesn't look like that is working with these laptops. I guess Lenovo fixed that trick? I have unlocked some other HP laptops by reading the chip, running a patch and re-writing back.

Upon start, the keyboard lights up briefly, the fan spins and the CPU gets really warm but no post. Computer draws close to 1Amp. I suspect corrupted bios. Please can you fix it for me ??
