    Dell XPS 15 9500

    Hello Everyone,

I have a Dell XPS 15 9500, and while replacing the Bios one of the components was hit by my tweezers and lost. It's right above the Bios chip and connects to pin 8. The pad close to pin 7 connects to ground Click image for larger version

ID:	3485276 . I don't know wether it was a capacitor or possibly diode and what value. Next to the Bios it's labeled UH8 and the other side I believe DH1 looking at some pictures Click image for larger version

I think that is pin 7 and other pad goes to pin 8. Likely a 4.7K pullup going by an earlier schematic (LA-H331P)

I am attaching another picture, I think the red circle on the last image blocked out the tracing. In this picture you can see pin 8 pad with red and it traces to a top pad with red too. Bellow that is the pad that goes to ground. That traces to the other side of the board. From what I've been seeing is that there is usually a capacitor connected to pin 8 in nearly all motherboards I've seen. Just wanted a confirmation if that's what everyone else sees as well. I really do appreciate your response and attachment to help me in another jobs my fat fingers may cause issues with 😂😂 Click image for larger version

Just a 0.1uF decoupling cap then. And as SMDFlea has spotted, the cap is probably circled below.

That is a cap that I set aside from a donor board; it is not soldered or supposed to be there. I have it ready to go incase it was a cap that's supposed to be there. Thank you thank you to you both!!
