• I am attaching another picture, I think the red circle on the last image blocked out the tracing. In this picture you can see pin 8 pad with red and it traces to a top pad with red too. Bellow that is the pad that goes to ground. That traces to the other side of the board. From what I've been seeing is that there is usually a capacitor connected to pin 8 in nearly all motherboards I've seen. Just wanted a confirmation if that's what everyone else sees as well. I really do appreciate your response and attachment to help me in another jobs my fat fingers may cause issues with 😂😂 [ATTACH=J...

  • Dell XPS 15 9500

    Hello Everyone,

I have a Dell XPS 15 9500, and while replacing the Bios one of the components was hit by my tweezers and lost. It's right above the Bios chip and connects to pin 8. The pad close to pin 7 connects to ground . I don't know wether it was a capacitor or possibly diode and what value. Next to the Bios it's labeled UH8 and the other side I believe DH1 looking at some pictures ...

  • Hello,

I am new here. Just wanted to thank everyone who shares and replys to those in need. I am a noob on repairing hardware but am trying. Hopefully with your help I can repair some stuff, and in return I can help in the future.

I am currently working on a Dell XPS 15 9500 and while replacing the bios chip, one of the small components next to it flung of my tweezers. Now, I am looking to see what type of component it is, wether it was a diode, capacitor, or etc...

Would appreciate it if someone can help. Thank you guy's!!...
