Inspiron M5030

I have a power problem with this dell laptop, after several diagnosis I realized that pin7 of PU4603 which is suppose to be VO2 is shorted to ground. I need help resolving this problem, I have removed most of the component around PU4604 and PL4601 but still no didn't find the faulty component.

When you removed pl4601, from which side is the short?

Wen I remove PL4601, he short is coming from the pin7 of PU46301, even if i remove the IC from the board, the short is still there.

Have you removed PU4604?

After removing the PL4601, there is no short on PU4604, so I guess the problem is not from there

What do you mean, "there is no short on PU4604" when there is a short on pin 7 of PU4603? Where do you check and how?

Pin7 connects to PG4618 then to PL4601 before PU4604, so when PL4601 is connected the short extends to it but when PL4601 is removed then short is gone from there,

No, you got it all wrong. If you have a short on pin 7, there should be a short and on pins 5,6,7 and 8 of PU4604.

you are right but after removing PL4601, there is no longer short on PU4604, the short is on the other side of PL4601

So, when you remove PL4601, there is no short on pin 7.

when PL4601 is connected there is short or PU6404 and Pin11 (LL2) but when it is removed short is only on Pin7, PTC4601, PTC4603 and PC4619
