    Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! US $2.71 | 5pieces SY8288RAC SY8288 (AWS5MZ AWS...) SY8288BRAC SY8288B (BAB5ZD BAB...) SY8288CRAC SY8288C (BAC7LN BAC...) QFN-20

Be sure to confirm the ‘AWS’ marking code with the vendor before ordering. Others are on AliExpress.

The part is sold with different configurations. The original part is written the ‘AWS’ prefix. You must state the same details to order the exact part. You can show the vendor the top side pic before ordering. Otherwise you may receive the wrong product.

Somehow i managed to get a "new" board, customers bought it. And now when i connect the CMOS battery for the first time and battery the laptop turns on automatically (this is normal). And everything is working everything is ok until i shut it down, after you press the power button nothing happens. I check pin 7 on the keyboard connector and it is at 3.3V, pressing the power button does not change the voltage on that pin. I try manually short this pin to the gnd but the laptop still does not turn on.
When i disconnect the cmos battery and reconnect the cmos batt and laptop battery it will turn on, and no issue until i shut it down.
I also tested the power button when i booted into the windows, pressing the power button does not do anything.
So my question is, does the voltage need to drop on pin 7 when i press the power button, and if so why does the laptop won't turn on when i short the pin to the gnd?

Yes, the ON_OFF# is an active low signal so when LOW, the unit should power off. If external wiring is not working then suspecting that the pinout of the reference schematic is not accurate for your logic board.

Remove all power. Meter in diode mode. Touch the meter probes for a tone beep check. Then place one meter probe to ground and other meter probe onto the first keyboard cable connector. Press the ON/OFF button - hear a tone beep? Continue to test other pins till you find a tone beep to locate the true ON_OFF# contact pin. You must be able to power on/off using only the logic board and wires. We have done this a number of times. So far, unable to locate the true schematic for the 840 G8.

Check if you have PAD300 on your logic board. If present, use tweezers to short here to mimic the ON_OFF# button.

Stagg sms12p audio amp has water damage
                by edugimeno
Hi! My friend just brought this audio amplifier/speaker fro his music band saying they realized its got no sound. Led powers up but there no sound at all
I opened it and found 3 board. 2 of them are for input plugs and potentiometers, and the other larger board has the amplifiers for 2 large speakers that it drives
There's also a large toroid transformer that feeds a lower voltage to the first 2 boards and a larger voltaje (36x2 rectified close to 100v) to the power board. The power board has the plugs for both speakers
There is only one signal wire connecting the first boards...
