Hello, I have the following laptop:
Asus TUF A15
Model: FA507XI-LP018W
Motherboard: DA0NJSMBAD0 REV: D; Model: NJS
Issue: It powers on, all the leds work but there is no video signal at all, neither on the original display nor on an external display. Also the coolers don't move at all, even though they get power. And to turn it off i need to keep pressing the power button for 10 seconds.
The laptop had the motherboard battery connector completely sheared off, so I had to solder it back. I'm not sure how that happened but i didn't open the laptop at all, until now.
How it happened: I was watching a movie one night and the screen went off. Never turned on again. I tried to RMA it and they said that because of the broken battery connector i will have to pay for the board, which they claimed it was 1200 euro. I choose not to and i opened it when it came back and saw the connector issue. Maybe manufacturing error, Idk. I would've known if I had opened the laptop or messed inside, also i am not that clumsy, and that board seems to be of pretty poor quality, the pads remove themselves like they're not even glued to the damn thing.
I checked some power rails, I found the 3.3v, 1.8, 5v, 12v, 0.8, and maybe 2.5v too. If powered on the cpu and gpu do heat up quite a bit, i would say around 50 degrees, still no image, no reaction, no sound coming from the laptop. The board has no other damage, also i tested each of the ram modules in each port.
I would like if it's possible to get some help and ideeas on which might be the cause, maybe a schematic if anybody has. For now I am a bit stuck.
Thank you, and have a wonderful day.
