No schematics, no boardview, but i found BQ735 charging chip on mb.U can see voltages on picture.

I checked mosfets, not all, they looks fine.

Asus usually have the orange light without battery-so nothing unusual here. Are you sure the new battery is ok?
Generate a battery report following this method and attach the html file here.
01.Open command prompt by pressing Win+R and typing CMD.
02.Type powercfg /batteryreport(note that there is space beofre front slash)
.03. This will be saved in windows\system32 folder.
    04. Open this file in edge/chrome etc and see for yourself.

Sounds like the battery is likely the issue. Is it an original Asus battery or a knockoff? If it came from a reputable seller, returns should be easy enough. Also, try updating your bios, the report showed you are on an older one.

So u think its battery problem ? I will negotiate to return this one and take battery for another laptop model.
On uploaded reports one battery is original and it showing 0%, and other one is new replica or knockoff like u said. After bios update ill report.

After "risky" bios update situation is same. Battery icon is always present even without battery.

Capacity remaining is not shown correctly in both battery reports. the battery is detected correctly so that proves smbus communication over SCL/SDA is very likely ok.
              Its perhaps a faulty battery.

Believe you mcpisig123. Battery returned to seller ... maybe ill try working bat one day, ill write here. Thinking maybe chip on bat board is locked, and how to activate, maybe manually add voltage or to ground certain pin....

To confirm if the bms board on the battery is locked or not, you will need to use an I2C bus analyzer on a known good battery and then this battery. Then compare the bus analyzer logs. There are commercial tools out there for this market as well. Cheaper to just test with another known good battery pack.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
                      by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Asus VivoBook F510UA-AH51 won't run on battery after motherboard replacement
                      by dhenion
I'm working on my sister's laptop: Asus VivoBook F510UA-AH51 - The motherboard died so I replaced it.

                      The original board was:
                      ASUS X510UNR REV 3.0 A

                      The replacement board is:
                      ASUS X510UNR REV 3.0 B (identical except B vs A - I couldn't find an A board anywhere. Visually they are identical.)

It boots right up on the replaced motherboard and everything works fine on the new motherboard - but it won't run off battery. When I disconnect the charger it immediately dies. When I plug it back in and reboot the system - it still shows the battery at...

Battery not charging in ASUS G532LWS Motherboard -> BQ24780S
                      by cope
                      Hi everyone,

I have been working on a no power issue with my personal ASUS gaming laptop. It went dead a few months ago.

                      Some history:

Since then, I've found a blown mosfet on the GPU line which I replaced. It started up without a battery, then when I added the battery back it wouldn't start up again.

As a result, there were some blown components around the BQ chip. (The BQ chip itself - BQ24780S, the low side battery mosfet (shorted), and a resistor -> all replaced)

Now, with a new battery the system will start up and run off...

Strange! Acer laptop not powering on but charging the battery (orange light on when charger and battery plugged in).
                      by serious_electron
                      Hello Everyone!

I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange). And after 2-4 seconds that orange light went off and the laptop died.

Asus GA401Q only working from battery
                      by dr.thodt
                      Hi,
I have an Asus GA401Q which only works from battery power. That suggests the board is mainly fine.
The battery status is 255%, also with a brand new battery.
The BQ24800 was replaced since it showed signs that it was part of the problem, but possibly the battery was flat at that moment.

If I insert the 19V adapter in the DC jack and measure the current sense resistor's voltage it fluctuates between 0V and 19.5V and the keyboard backlight flashes (probably because the battery is almost flat. It does the same when I run the laptop from battery).
                      There's a...
