    Overheat +3VA_DSW / +5VSUS [System Power] ON GL504GS 2.1

    Hello,

    I have a messed up motherboard asus GL504GS 2.1.
Someone break pin of fan connector and 12V pin touch FAN1_PWM pin, and of course turn off pc..

Now pins are repaired but, still, the 3v/5v chip overheat, and FAN1_PWM is 12 ohm to ground.

FAN1_PWM is directly connected to IT8225VG-128.... There is just a condo on the way and it's okay.

So my deduction is IT8225VG-128 is dead and pull to much voltage from 3V linear of 3v/5v chip. (i already change 3v/5v chip for fun, and same problem of course...)
    Can you confirm my guess?

    thanks !

    Hello guys !

Finally the IT8225VG-128 doesn't need to be flashed.
I just messed up my replacement!, I start again with the same chip, i clean it and I reball this sh**, i resoldier it (on the board after good cleanup) and now the board work perfectly.

So thank you again, happy ending !

        Hello,

I replace the chip, so FAN1_PWM is now ok, and no more overheat.
But laptop won't start and there is no LED indicator...

I think, i may need to flash the EC?
Where can i find the rom please?

        Thanks !
