Sony VAIO SVE1712C5E No Display only backlight

I was using this particular computer last night while installing windows, after I shut it down and took a break the thing never booted up again, I've tried changing the RAM, reseating the CPU, changing the CMOS battery and countless other things but cannot for the life of me revive it

It has an AMD Radeon HD7650M which I don't think is the problem, it was running warm (since repasted and cleaned clogged heatsink) but can't have gotten hot enough to fry, this chip is also not one that I know of that's temprimental and dies easily.

Attached are photos of the GPU and the motherboard on both sides.

Hopefully I can fix this up without having to buy a new motherboard,

Is dissabling the DGPU possible? Should that turn out to be the issue.

Would you have a multimeter? With no power to the board, meter in resistance mode (not diode mode) -> measure the resistance to ground of each inductor (2 legged; usually grey in color - for example, see the '2R2' = inductor). Hunting for any too low resistance measurement for that power rail. Post each measurement for a review. A too low of a resistance means that rail is likely shorted.

My last multimeter died, however there IS a Fluke at my place of work

I'll measure the resistance of the coils when I can and add them to the photo of the board in clear coloured text

I'd rather not immediately jump to the conclusion of a dead GPU so it's worth a shot at least.

Is your mb sony mbx-266? If yes, its GPU.
Usually this mb boots but dont show anything on screen when dgpu goes bad.(check usb keyboard numlock glowing or not)
Its very tough to convert this mb from discrete to UMA though i've done it succesfully on one occassions.
Not worth the time. I went after it to make sure i learnt from it.

Suprisingly it is actually an MBX-267 but probably no different from the 266 if that helps.
