    Acer predator PT315-53, pu1201 ic chip number

    acer predator Triton 300 PT315-53, pu1201, what is the part number for that ic chip? I need to order a replacement ic chip, but the markings can not be ordered.

    Share a topside pic of this component.

    So far, unable to locate this part or vendor. From tracing the schematic, this component appears to be a standard type buck regulator that creates a 12v rail from the 19V (power adapter) to only drive the fan(s) onboard.

        Review where that fan resides. If it is the CPU fan then yes, the CPU can overheat and the thermal sensor will rise and force a shutdown. Apply a normal room cooling fan onto the board and test the theory. Otherwise, no.
