Not detect HDD & ODD Acer 4530

hye all,
i got 1 acer 4530 cant detect hdd and odd. this laptop use nvidia MCP77M as south and northbridge. i suspect this bga problem. but want to ask all expert here are this problem can solve with just with reflow process, reball or replace new chip? this practice not for this bga only but for similar symptom problem from others bga. sometimes reflow enough sometimes need to reball and lastly need to replace new one.

Find the schematic and check the mosfets on that power bus to make sure the HD and ODD are receiving power before you do anything else. This drives have always on voltage.

i have checked all cap around odd and hdd port. there always 5v. i want to try change new chip mcp77MM .
as i know mcp77mm control usb and sata. i got 1 acer 4530 before this, the problem is cant detect usb port and find solution when i replace new mcp77m.

Then go for it replace the chip.

its a known problem such as mcp67, symptoms are same. you can reball or replace the chip to solve problem.

tomodachi and all expertise here are the reball can solve the problem. i have reflow and try move the bga slowly. the ball under bga is melt. but still not detected. tommorow i will update this issue. i want change new mcp77m

already replace new mcp77m and everything back to normal. Solution is replace new chip
