I have a Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 2 that's not powering on. GE4B0/GE5B0 NM-D011 is the board number. Not interested in fixing the board, but the data on the drive is important. It's not backed up anywhere and unfortunately has bitlocker enabled on it with the recovery key also not being saved anywhere. Does anyone know if it would it be possible to swap the bios chip U2 and the TPM chip UM1 to another working board to get the data back, or would I have to try and fix this board to recover it?

I have a very strange issue with the BIOS SPI chip of an ASRock B650M PRO RS motherboard.
The SPI chip is an Winbond 25Q256JWEQ model (1V8).
The motherbaord doas not POST - it lits only CPU and DRAM EZ Debug Leds, and stays that way forever.
The Flashback function of the motherbaord is also not working, despite all instructions followed correctly - I'm 100% sure of this.
I have then desoldered the chip, backupped the contents, and tried to earease the chip in order to program stock image, but the chip is locked by status registers SREG2 (TB) and SREG6... -
by thxd43Hello, first of all, excuse me, I am using the translator, English is not my native language.
I have a Lenovo ideapad 330S - 14IKB laptop.
The tablet did not recognize me when I connected it, so I checked the device manager and I realized that there were many with the exclamation mark, so one by one I began to update their drivers until the sign disappeared of admiration, I even updated the BIOS, and the laptop rebooted normally and worked, so far so good, but the tablet still did not recognize me, I read on the internet that it could be due to a... -
by GuaculoHi, i got a Lenovo Yoga 11e that had a bad motherboard. I purchased a replacement motherboard but its a model variation from the original.
Now the new motherboard wont boot with the OEM wifi card. On the lenovo page it says the new motherboard needs a N-7260 wifi card, and the one i have its a AC-7260.
I swapped the 2 bios chip from the old mobo (U40 and U38) to the new one in hopes i could get the wifi card to run, but it wont work, even the serial number stays the same as the new motherboard (the laptop runs fine only this 2 issues).

by insomniacno1Hi,
Anyone here know the name and model number of the Super I/O chip in the L540 20AU (HM86 EXPRESS CHIPSET)?
I need the information to solve an issue in Linux Mint, where fan is not detected correctly.
If anyone know the exact name of the sensor that show fan speed it would also be great.
I tried looking on my motherboard but can't see it without taking the laptop apart and I really don't want to do that. I asked Lenovo, but they are not answering. I searched google for photos of the motherboard but they were too blurry to read anything, according... -
by acedogblastThis is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.
There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as... - Loading...
