Lenovo Gaming 3 15ARH05 NM-D191 - short on SIO, after replace 1.1V instead of 3.3W

    Hello.
Have this Lenovo Gaming 3 15ARH05 NM-D191 that came with short on SIO and shorted UI1 USBovercurrent protection ic. removed UI1. I accidently ordered IT8227E-192 instead IT8227E-128 but i soldered it. Now i have 1.1V instead of 3.3ALW. i have vin, +3VLP, EC_ON, 5V_LDO - ok, no short on 3.3VALW /2Kohm+/

    where can be problem?

New SIO flashed? Firmware size may be different for both suffix.

        IT8227E-192-FIRMWARE LIKELY 192KB
        IT8227E-128-FIRMWARE LIKELY 128KB

This is what i mean. Have you flashed the new SIO?

i know what u mean but how can bad sio firmware can change votage of RT6585C to 1V when it can be set only within 2V-5.5V

it was bad 5V mosfets, when replaced. i have 3.3V and 5V and laptop start but shows bad charger, and wont start on PBTN. i need to flash FW but cannot find it.

Check the main bios in hex editor-It may have the EC firmware.

flashed sio and looks like it works, but still have no wattage detection and i have 1.1V on 3Valw when poweroff and 3.3V when power on

what can it be? should i better replace this 192kb ic with original 128kb ic ?

PR126/PD102 checked? Is there any voltage on pin6 of PU2001 in off mode? I dont think SIO is faulty since it has successfully flashed(not an absolute indicator though) Is there any voltage on UX2 on pin1-2/13-14 in off mode? Have seen sio with 192 suffix on many boards with actual firmware size being 128kb.

                      PR126 - 1.-1.0V, 2 - 0.3V
                      PD102 - ok

                      PU2001 - +3VLP - ok
                      - EC_ON_3V_R - 3.3V
                      - +3VALW_VIN - 19V
                      - +5V_LDO - 19V
                      - EC_ON_5V_R - 3.3V

Wander if problem is 3V or 5V. I dont have 5V but have both EN signals. When attach CMOS battery, i dont startafter few times

Replace PC2013/PC2037 with 330uF SMD capacitor.
I beleive you mean +5V LDO is 5V(and not 19V as you mentioned at post#11).

+3VALW and +5VALW both are supposed to be present in standby in this mb design.Have you checkd the FB pins as well?
