I have one laptop where there is main short and I found out this component is is heating up after removing this component short is removed now. I don't know what this component is and where to buy as I cannot find by the model number.

I also have similar ICs, mine appear to have blown up. Any luck, rpboy? you asked this question a year ago. It may be the only way to access these ICs is to contact the laptop manufacturer directly. Who knows, maybe they'll be cool.

I ordered these off Alibaba from China. One thing to note when ordering is to make sure it's the MP8694 chip. The MP 'NF', MP 'NS' MP 'KC' all seem to be the same. Don't really know why they are denoted differrently. They all seem to do the same thing!Comment
