Lenovo G460. auto off...

Good day to all....

I have a Lenovo G460 repair. If I Press The Power On Switch Indicate have Power But aroun 3 or 5 Seconds turning off i try to cleaning no luck. i Observe if i press the power switch the fan not spinning. any one can help me?

Check if 3.3v and 5v are there, check for shorts or any heated component. try without cpu and ram, reflash bios with external programmer, reflow southbridge. See if battery charging light comes on when the laptop is off.

I had this exact problem on Lenovo G550 and found that it was caused by shorted power pins on a damaged usb port.
I removed the usb port and the laptop worked fine.
