Toshiba L45 turning off

    Toshiba L45 turning off

    Had this given to me, had it over 2 years. It was already...4? years old when I got it. Probably more. Came with a PDC T2310

    Had vista, one thing I noticed is it kept turning off on battery. Got a brand new toshy original battery. Installed Win7

    By this time I had replaced the T2310 with a C2D T7300 and bumped the ram to 3GB (would not accept 4-Toshibas website said it would not accept more than 2). STILL had this issue. Still does

    The previous owners told me they kept it plugged in ALL the time. Did they just wear the power regs down?

      oh yes, and it usually will freeze for a few seconds before it turns off

      its not a heat thing, I have hwmon monitor that, and it has an auto-throttle. I put the back up against a bedsheet and ran prime95, when it got to 101C, it started clocking down
