ACER Aspire 4710 mosfet very hot

hye all profesional here.

i got 1 motherboard last week when i check the power is not stable with indicator led power is blinking red and green. i suspect one of the component at motherboard was shorted. i touch with my finger at near mosfet please see red circle in picture. that mosfet very hot and im already change with take it from acer 4920 same model of mosfet. after replace still that mosfet hot then i change all cap in yellow circle. still same. please advice me what i need to do next. im very appriciate to learn from all tech here

check the caps around cpu socket and also other mosfets like this one u found must short ...replace it

already check i didnt find any short at mosfet.

Where is the MOSFET in the schematic? What is the Gate to Source voltage?

All friend the problom stop after i change soutbridge but still no display. Already flash bios dan change another one intel gmch but still no display. Current in only 0.405a

Did the southbridge get hot as mosfet?

Mosfet code apl5912 southbrogde not hot like this mosfet. 1st changed new northbrigde intel still didn't work until i changed south seem like not hot but still no display.my power supply show only 0.405a current in.

Thanks ffdizon this is not about no power motherboard. Sometime the bga problem not easy to check but i already replace the bga.

overheating component means you have a short. led blinks is a sign of short too...

is there any short finding device. i know a person who use a high amp adapter to find the short components. when he applies the volt the short component get burn. what is the hidden inside? i don't know.

its a 0-30 volts 5 amps regulated power supply with current and voltage adjustments

APL5912 is not a mosfet, but a complete regulator IC.
Have you checked 1D5V_LDO voltage in it's ouput pins? (pin 3 and 4)

I've found this, and seems a powerful meter, but I'm afraid it is not a cheaper
instrument.
