Physically bypass dedicated PCI-X vga and use Gm965 graphics on Toshiba.

Silly question but this is what has happened to me.
I have Toshiba satellite A200 with a Radeon HD card that is connected via a Toshiba Pci-express propitiatory slot, the motherboard uses the Intel GM965 chipset.
The graphics card seems to have died since the laptop would switch on and nothing would appear on screen internal nor external.
I then tried to reflow the Radeon but I think I used too much heat as when I booted the computer up the next time a 3 pin transistor burned up and smoke came from it.
now since the VGA card was already dead and it seems expensive to replace would it even be possible to somehow using solder or other method physically bypass the express slot and rather use the Intel GM965 VGA as the GM usually have onboard VGA as opposed to the PM965.
Ihave seen inferior models without the slot soldered on the board which use the Intel and that's why I ask this question.
I have tried to start without the card inserted but still no display, it was wired to use the radeon and not the Intel so my question is ,is it impossible or possible lol.
    Thanks for any replies.

yes they are caps and resistors. But my project was a bit different, i also changed pm to gm and removed nvidia chip from the board. i worked a week on it.
