HP Pavilion dm3 would not powering on

i have a book with power problem. its model is hp pavilion dm3-1109tu. When i plug in the led near power jeck lights up but when i push power switch it does not comes on. i also try with battery and dc power but nothing change.i need some help

Could be a short circuit, or, most likely, a bad solder joint. HP laptops of a certain era had lots of problems with nvidia graphics chips going bad, or the solder joints on them going bad.

Do any of the lights come on at all (HDD, wifi, volume, etc) when you hit the power button? If they do, then it's most likely a problem with the video card. It's a very common problem among HP laptops, especially. The microscopic solder joints crack and there is no longer a good connection, and the display is partial, or even just goes black. I have one that did that.

If none of the lights come on whatsoever, then it's probably not a problem with your video card. It's probably a short somewhere, as Ben7 said.

This model has an Intel chip. You should try another power button switch.

Check for 3.3v on power button pin 1 then check pin 3 while your pressing the power button it should drop to zero volts.
