Hi all,
P Pavilion tx 2000 ( Tablet PC). And When i plug the power adapter, The indicator in the power jack light up and suddenly gos off ( It light up for only one second) Please any one can tel me where is the problem in motherboard..

Does light on AC adaptor go off when you plug it in to wall or laptop?

If it the light comes and goes when you plug it in to wall (without laptop connected) then bad power adaptor.

Otherwise most likely short/motherboard issue, although i have seen a bad power adapter light go off when plugged in to laptop. To be sure, find another AC adaptor (universal, friend, etc) and see what happens.

you should check around of dc jack first, there must be two or three different shaped mosfets could be shorted, another place you will check is battery pins area.

metering your DC Adapter first, if its not short... it will 19 upto 24 volt...
if its ok, the problem is in your motherboard, shorted component cause.
