HP Compaq nx9010 White Screen

My HP Compaq nx9010 only shows white LCD monitor screen after powering up. But another monitor, connected thru the vga connector, is operating fine. Audio is also okay.

Can anybody give me hints on the problem? Can the LCD be repaired? or it should be replaced already.

Replace the cable between mainboard and LCD, it is most likely broken. A no signal condition causes white screen, if you're lucky it's just going to be the cable, if you're unlucky it'll be the panel itself. Still, the cable is cheap so try that first.

bro peter,

check secondary filter capacitors from the power supply. if one is faulty, can also produce white screen.
