    Gateway MT6707, AC adapter polarity?

Got an MT6707 in my shop for repair. The area around the power jack is burned almost through the board.

I'm probably going to look into a replacement motherboard if the owner wants to spend the money, but I need to know whether the replacement AC adapter they were using has the right polarity or not. This one is center positive.

Looking at the board, I could swear that the center pin is going to Ground, but it is too burned to tell. Anyone else have one of these that can confirm the polarity?

    might help..

edit: inside pin is positive. supposed to be 19V 3.42A (65W)

couple boards on ebay. seems like this was used in a number of different models..

(semi off topic: why is there no "sort by: price, lowest first" option on ebay USA, but pretty much everywhere else?! )

Looks like the adapter is the proper one then.

There is indeed a price-lowest first setting... Maybe you overlooked it?

The motherboard is toast... basically the top layer is burned off, causing the positive and ground layers to short together. If the CPU and RAM are still good, it might be worth replacing the board. If the owner doesn't want too, maybe I'll buy it off them and fix it myself.
