    Toshiba Satellite A105-S4001

Hello everyone. I found this site while trying to troubleshoot a monitor that failed on me yesterday and thought I'd ask about a laptop I'd had die on me a couple months ago.

If I plug the power supply into the computer, the light for being plugged in comes on and then the battery light comes on.

If I try to turn it on while plugged into the wall, the power light comes on, the fan starts and the DVD-drive powers up, then it stops doing anything.

Should I just jump in and disassemble it now or do something else first?

    Thanks,
    Brandon

I saw a laptop once that when the battery was in the machine it would do that if removing the battery doesn't work i would jump into it and try to figure it out that way

Same thing as above minus the battery light.

So I disassembled the laptop this afternoon and took pics of the motherboard. Any ideas of where to look or what to do would be appreciated. If closer photos of any section of the board is needed, I'll be happy to take more.

        Thanks,
        Brandon
