Hi, I have this laptop that had multiple issues: a bad USB-C chip, a bad power regulator, a bad ALC3306 chip. The latter stumped me because I never had an audio chip cause any issues. Yet, it was heating up to 80c.
After all of these got replaced, the laptop is working again but only the left fan is spinning upon heat buildup. The right one is not spinning ever. I had a spare heatsink/fan assembly which I installed but the problem is not going away. So, the fan itself is ok. I checked pins on the fan connector and it does get 5v and 3.3v.
I don't think it's the thermal sensor because it controls both fans nor is it the super i/o chip.
Can someone help me where to look next?
