    Lenovo Ideapad 5 15ARE05 NM-C811 No Power

    Lenovo Ideapad 5 15ARE05 NM-C811 No Power GSS55D&GS55E

At the beginning the device only had a problem with the display, it always flashed, but minimally, I connected different displays several times, and suddenly it no power more, maybe someone can help me. I attach Schematick and BV.

As soon as I connect the power supply nothing happens, everything is zero. but when I connect the USB-C power supply, the thermal imaging camera shows me that the RTS5457V-GR_QFN40_5X5 gets 30-35 degrees hot for 5 seconds, but I think its ok, according to ampermer 20V 0.94A, with or without battery.
If your need something more, please write here, I will try to stay online soon as possible.

If you need anything more, please write here, I will try to stay online if possible, and update the page.

The motherboard looks very good, no water damage, no burnt spots.

The following data are measured with DC power supply (JDCIN1) without battery, i.e. only Mainboard with Charger.

    PL103 pin 2 20v
    PL104 pin 2 20v
    pr114 pin 2 0,46v ( its normal?)
    pr116 pin 2 6,72v
    pr102 pin 2 3,37v
    pq101 pin 4 3,99v and pin 5,6,7,8, 20,23v
    pq102 pin 4 3,99v and pin 1,2,3, 20,23v

Expect PR114 to have a voltage of 3.03V. PQ107 should pass the 'DCIN_ATTACHED' signal to the EC, Make sure PU101 is outputting +3VL and +3VALW, and PU1701 is outputting +5VL and +5VALW.

      PU1701
      pin 1 12,29v
      pin 2 0v
      pin 3 0v
      pin 4 0v
      pin 5 0v
      pin 6 0v
      pin 7 0,22v not stabil
      pin 8 0v
      pin 9 5,09v
      pin 10 3,64v
      pin 12 0v
      pin 13 3,41v

      pu101
      pin 1,4,7,10 is 20,23v
      pin 5,8,11,13,14 is 0v
      pin 6,9,12,15 is 0v
      pin 2 0v
      pin 3 0v

      I don´t now how, but the pr114 is now 2,78v on pin2

Regarding PR114, the issue may be due to bad shoulder joints. Also, are you using the original adapter?

For PU101, double-check the measurements you provided:

        Pin 1, 7, 10 should be 3.3V, not 20.23V.
        Pin 5, 8, 11, 13, 14 0V, for pin 8 (which is +20V) and pin 13 (which is +3.3V).
        Pin 6, 9, 12, 15 0V, for pin 9 (which is +3V).

What voltage do you get on this coil PL1701 ? Pin 9 of PU1701 ?

          update
PU1101 is verry hot 129°C, I remove the jumper PJ1103, after that is no more hot, my be is the problem on UE1 IT8227E-CX

Re: Lenovo Ideapad 5 15ARE05 NM-C811 No Power

That's a clear short to GND. This supplies the LDO +3VL, which is connected to the IT8227E, as well as other components such as RTC, PWRBTWN, etc. Do you have a DC power supply to inject voltage and identify which component is heating up?

I removed the IT8227E and measured, pin 97 and 98 shurted to pin 104, so I think the IT8227E is defective. I found similar IO, but I'm not sure if it needs to be programmed. And if so, where can I get the firmwire for that?
