Hi Guys,
A few days ago my laptop powered off completely and switch on is not possible anymore. I unscrewed the back cover and measured some voltages according to a tutorial.
My 5V Always and 3.3V Always are good. 20V from power port are also available. What is not in a good shape is the 3.3V VLP. It is only 2.4 Volts and shortened to GND (checked with Multimeter).
So exact the same error like in this video: https://youtu.be/17HioZWT65c
And when connecting to power supply to the Mainboard, also the IT8586E will become hot. I can still touch it, but not for a long time because of the heat.
I expect that this chip is fried. Because I am very interested in this topic I want to buy a blank chip and flash it by myself.
Can anyone give me an advice on which programmer I should buy? Should the RT809F with PEB-1 extension do the job?
Thanks in advance.
Marvin
