    Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 G401II

    Hello dear like minded people

I am new here and would directly ask for some advice / help 🙂
I have an ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 GA401II-BMT140T laptop. When I bought the laptop it wouldn't turn on at all. I found out that the Super IO IC - IT5125VG-128 died and replaced it.
After that I was able to install Windows. However, when I was in the setup of Windows after the installation, the laptop went off and the fans were spinning at 100%. It did this again and again until I managed to exit Windows setup once. The GPU I tested with Mats / Mods and there is no error on the memory - especially the drivers of the GPU are not installed which is why I ruled this out anyway. After that, the onboard ram came to mind and the good Sorin made a video a few days ago about how he removes the onboard ram and disables it in the BIOS. This I have also done and since then I'm stuck in the black screen... (
Meanwhile I reballed the old onboard ram and soldered it back to the motherboard - I also flashed the original backup file back to the bios ROM. But unfortunately I still have no picture. I have read and flashed the Bios with the CH341A Mini Progammer.
My guesses are that the probably defective Ram has now finally died due to the soldering process and / or the CH341A is no longer sufficient for such work and the Bios is now faulty.

Thank you already for the suggestions and please excuse me for the long message 🙂
    Best regards from Germany

Usually there is no reason to remove the soldered RAM except it shorts the +1.2VS (partial) to GND. A proper disable-job either on chip-level or with this strange tool Sorin used (I wouldn't fully trust in it tbh) would have been already enough.
The assumption about the CH341A is actually the weirdest I've ever heard. The purpose is to program the SPI flash external and It doesn't change anything, regardless which sort of issue the board has. It works always.

However, if one these steps was successfully done and the device still doesn't P.O.S.T. then i am afraid to tell that the board was not diagnosed correct and either the issue lies elsewhere or you're now dealing with multiple issues in worst case.

    My suggestion:

Advanced troubleshooting necessary, but also starting over, beginning with Ohms values from all inductors.

Then pictures of the work you have done on the board.

It is very unlikely at this point but maybe someone here is able to figure out what is wrong with this board. It really smells like a issue with the GPU right now.

First of all thanks for the suggestion Sephir0th

I couldn't think of any explanation why there would suddenly be a problem with the GPU. Before I desoldered the ram and flashed the BIOS, it had a P.O.S.T and I had a picture. Only after this work I have a problem with the P.O.S.T.
I have measured all the coils and can not find anything strange , - everything looks normal.
Would it be possible for you to send me a new BIOS so I can be sure mine is not corrupt?
