Lenovo Legion Y520 Identification help please

I know this isn't a cap but I'm trying to identify what type it is, I believe it's a voltage regulator, I can see it's 3 volts in on the schematics and a type of sot 23-5 SY6288C20AAC page 35 of the schematics I attached. No clue how many volts out. However there are hundreds of them. Without the output I'm dead in the water. I'm realitivly new to this. So if I missed something obvious be kind and use it as a quick teaching lesson. Im learning and enjoying this.

U9 is a power switch for the LCD power circuit. Not the LED backlight though.
If it roasted, it could be a weak part or then the LCD might have a short-circuit on +LCD_VDD line which is high current, 1A with 2A inrush.
Not an expert but would replace the IC.

I agree, the amount of Legion laptops with this issue is crazy, I honestly bought this one cheap. It has enough power to run some older games for my kids if i get it working. Thank you for the input, ill let you know how it goes. I've been trying to figure this out for over a month. Including talking to Lenovo who was zero help. 2 responses in 12 hours and I feel further ahead and more confident.

Sorry for the late reply, the only thing it is doing is the power light comes on when I turn it on. My fan, no hard drive noise likes it's trying too boot, I think there is a short to be chased down

Then the switch might be not your only issue. Suggestion is to remove, sort and solve the welded layers if present by any bad luck and check for unexpected short to GND at any of these pins.
