Working on a Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 model 1769. The system powers on to a black screen with backlight which cycles on / off 3 or 4 times then it stays off. Prior to this it would stay powered on but with a black backlit screen -- in those instances the caps lock light would respond but there would be no video output despite trying both a MiniDP to VGA and miniDP to HDMI adapter that is supposed to be compatible with the Surface Laptop 2.
Data is important so I'm hoping to salvage it. This issue is very similar to the earlier thread posted here but the Youtube video recommended by mon2 in that thread has been deleted and the OP went radio silent after initial post. Anyone have further tips?
