Asus Gl753, gl553, fx553 keyboard power button not working

I have i think 4 dead keyboards from laptops in the title...they are very similar...almost the same...and all of them have not working power buttons. All other keys are working...but when you press power button it doesnt short 3.3v to gnd...so you can only do it manually on the keyboard conector with tweezers or similar. I inspected in every detail ribbon cable that is going to the motherboard connector and removed power key button from keyboard to see anything wrong there, but all seems perfect.
Has anyone with more expirience figured where is that power button line getting broken? because it seems very common mistake on these laptops...thx

More shitware by Asus.

Can you confirm if there is a contact closure on the dead keyboards when you press the ON/OFF button? That will confirm the membrane is doing its job for the contacts dealing with this function.

Use diode mode and expect a tone beep during the closure. If this fails, use resistance mode check and confirm if the resistance changes or not.

What is the history of the keyboard(s)? Liquid spills?

@myth77, its useless and pure waste of time digging for keyboard fix. these keyboards are dirt cheap($4-5),so pretty useless fixing them. They are built to fail within 6-12 months. Do you expect more from such dirt cheap chinese stuff?

Hi mcplslg123, i was looking on alliexpress and i couldnt find it cheaper then 30$? Where did you find that cheap keyboards for this model? Can you provide some link ? thx

I was talking about the regular keyboard with power button. this seems to be a gaming laptop's kbd which is expensive.
