Hi guys.i have alienware 13 r1 with weird thing what i cant understan
Basically laptop is freezing every time if nvidia gpu is enabled and laptop is on battery power,however it working just fine pn ac power
So i wanted to sort this out as thats quite annoying as i need to disable nvidia to use it on battery or use it only with power cord-i already tried change battery,update drivers,change power setting,update bios,install windows 10 and windows 11, but nothing helps it still will freeze on battery
What i noticed that cpu speed in bios is 1.70ghz but in performance screen in windows base speed it shows 2.50ghz-disable overclockong feature and turbo boost mode wont change it as well
So is this laptop somehow has been previously overclocked?i dont know much about overclocking,but i assume if its using more cpu speed than should it using more power than battery can handle and thats causes freezings?does it make sense or im digging in wrong direction?that might explain why it freezes on nvidia gpu enabled as nvidia consuming quite lot of power as well and if disabled than there is enough power for cpu on its own but not enough for both
Anyone had some similar problems or have any ideas?and if its ocerclocked is there any way to get it back to base setting?
