Hi all, kindly asking for advise.

owner tried to install a stick of ram and the does laptop does not powers on.

the only schematic i found is here

the charger IC is ISL 95522H and it is getting very hot.

without battery

DCIN is 17.4V
ACIN is 2.4V
VDD is 0.4
CMSRC 0

main power rail is missing power.

Do you think charger IC is dead ?

Sir you check the main Func = 3.3VALWP / 5VALWP if shorted

resistance on all coils is pretty high except for the near GPU coils which is about 3 ohms

Measure the voltage to ground on each pin of the dual diode at PDB01.

Also at each pin of the DCin mosfet at PQB11.

Found this diode butbit is a single diode

Do you think this is it?
I think that The suggested schematics is not exactly for this board

PQB11 = mosfet and should be 8 pins.

Post a pic of your logic board. Perhaps have a suitable BV file but it is locked to my sub but it may help.

Which double diode? Can you point to it on the motherboard?

I think we have a confusion.

Here you ask me to measure voltage on the dual diode, and i called it double diode. but i cannot find such dual diode
instead i have found a single diode on PDB01. as visible in picture on post #7.

As per post#1, VDD on charger ic is 0.4V .What is the exact resistance here? What about ACOK on charger IC?

Resistance on VDD is 2 ohms

voltage on ACOK is 0.09v

resistance on ACOK 12 ohms

Did you measure without power present? If yes, you indeed seem to deal with a shorted charging controller. It does not fit to the shared history though.

Remove the charger IC and measure these same resistance to GND again.

I have replaced this charger IC and now the laptop turns on but the charger IC is still getting very hot,

How can i continue inspection of the issue ?

Just move around the charging controller in Ohms mode and see whether there is still a short to GND present. And next time you need to do that after you have removed the old one but before soldering the replacement. Sanity checks.

I have measured resistance on all pins of this charger IC, the lowest was 40 ohms some pins was OL.

i can see that the laptop is back to the same state the owner explained to me.

where the laptops starts and working very slow and no charging

Any other advise ?

No, 40 Ohms are bad. You didn't realize? Share where you measured the low values and how much exactly.
