Does anyone have an idea how i can disable ATI graphics on Lenovo L512, the issue is the chip overheats in minute shutting the laptop down if I power on immediately I get distorted colors so i have to let it cool before i power it on for colors to be normal.

Hi everyone, hope to get someone to help and modify bios rom for me.
I need to disable dedicated nvidia graphics chip permanently.
GPU chip had failed(cracked silicon DIE) and I can only use laptop without failing if I disable nvidia graphics in dev manager (but it still draws power from battery and generates thermal signature.
Ideally if it was disabled from bios at preboot.
I believe it is possible, because if I attatch external alienware graphics amplifier , laptop at boot will disable dedicated graphics #1 (failed one) and will only boot with AGA...08-06-2024, 05:15 AM -
