Hello,

I am trying to diagnose this iPhone 12 mini that doesn't power on and doesn't charge.



While probing the battery connector in diode mode, I get a different reading than the 294 value (zero). Where should I go from there?

Be sure you are in diode mode on the meter.

Red probe, yes red to ground.
Black probe to the point to test.

I am sure. The other values were pretty much the same.

That is a short condition. Remove all power. Meter in resistance mode. Check the resistance to ground of the same contact. Post the resistance reading.

In resistance mode, the reading I get for the same pin is 0.3ohms, quickly going back to 0. After that, every measurement seems to be 0. Sometimes it goes back to the previous behaviour (0.3 to 0, very quickly)

Sounds like a shorted cap on the line. Would you have an adjustable power supply that can support 0v8 to 1v0?

Yes I have a dc power supply. Should I inject voltage directly on the battery connector?
