    Asus C213N Chromebook

Hi there I've got a Asus C213N Chromebook that won't charge or switch on and on quick visual inspection it was easy to see the root cause but I'm having a hard time identifying and locating a chip.

The code on the chip is GA 7RB. There was 2 but one had a giant hole in it and I've removed it from the board already which removed the short but I need to replace it. Anyone able to give me some guidance on how best to find something like this short of trying to locate a donor board?

Comparing the picture you provided , the best I could reach without a schematic ,this is a WDFN-6L 2x2 package and next , my best guess this is a Richtek 8010 (not 8010A) , but I suggest you do further comparison , like dimensions , testing the inductance to pin 4 (it should between 2.2 and 4.7 mhenry), etc ..

Post more pics of the logic board that will show the region of this circuit.

Is this part near USB connectors? Charger area ? elsewhere?

I've highlighted the 2 regions affected. The large chip is a SlimPort ANX3429 QFN48 for USB-C power

The USB-C port and charge LED are to the left
