Gigabyte ga-ax370 gaming 3 backup bios question.
      by razenxd
      Hello.
A friend of mine gave to me the motherboard of the title.
He had it in storage for a long time and he couldn't recall what the problem was.
So I set the motherboard up on my bench and it wouldnt post at all.
I tried to kick in the backup bios by holding power button and reset button for 10 seconds and then the motherboard booted and I got onto bios.
      Saved exit motherboard booted again.
Left it overnight at the bench, and today its not booting again.
Again it booted after I kicked in the backup bios.
Isn't supposed that when you boot...

WD Sentinel DS5100 (NAS) boot issues
      by DeanWy
      Hi all,

I have a Western Digital Sentinel DS5100 NAS system which has stopped working. It has dual BIOS. I bought the system second hand with an already broken primary BIOS (it rebooted multiple times until second BIOS was used).

It worked until recently. The system was idle in Windows Server 2012 and a BSOD occurred, I think it was 'critical process died'. Thereafter it didn't boot, it just sat there with no video output and fan speed at 100% (there's a proprietary Windows driver by WD which controls the fan, outside of that it always runs at 100%).

      There...

      BIOS Backup / extract 16MB .bin - Lenovo ThinkBook 13s G3 ACN - 20YA0005GE
      by DiddiAb
Recently I used the official Lenovo bios updater software on my ThinkBook 13s G3 ACN (20YA0005GE). The updating process failed and I got a black screen after powering the device. Of course I did not make an own backup before using the Lenovo bios updater.

I bought a CH341A programmer and was able to make a connection to the chip while it is still soldered on board. But I did not realise that the chip was a 16MB size and selected the wrong size (8Mbit / 1 MByte) before reading the content of my chip. So the dump I did before erasing the chip is only 1MByte big. I fear that I lost...

Clevo PD50PNN won't boot after BIOS Backup
      by Chris_stand
      Hello,

i hope to find help her in the forum. It is a littlebit tricky. I searched many Days about disabling IntelME that was may major task. So i have a Clevo PD50PNN motherboard.

At first i tried to Backup the BIOS with tools direcly from Windows(normaly i am a Linux user). But no full success because not every part of the bios was readable. So i bought a modified CH341a for a Backup.

Backup worked but since the backup the Laptop is not booting anymore. I flashed the newest Version oft the BIOS with success, verfiy everything ok.
      But the...

      Gigabyte m/b GA-H270-HD3 BIOS re-flashing
      by Rudolfl
      Hi all

BIOS is corrupted on this one (possibly chip itself is gone). Main board is not starting properly, so have to re-flash manually. Yes, I am pretty sure it is BIOS, as it was playing up for a while. I have not done this before, so couple of questions:

      1. Where can i get a BIOS image? (I assume the one on Gigabyte website is only for programming with BIOS flash utility)
      2. Is there a way to re-flash the BIOS without removing the chip?

      Thanks
      Rudolf
