Re: NEED REMOVE PASSWORD dell optiplex 7090 MICRO
Hi hardware1
Is there anyway to preserve the data like built date and purchase date? I can not find the sector where it's stored on the bios.
ThanksComment

Please bear with me as this is all new to me and trying my best to read up as much as possible.
i bought a micro dell optiplex 7090 from local listing which happen to have admin password set. Looks to be off lease from a company that found its way in the market.
since this is not a laptop bios-pass site doesnt work.
tried removing battery with no luck and jumper trick doesnt work as there is no jumper.
read about bios chip from here where experts helps out if i upload the bios reading. And this is where i am sitting.
i will buy the ch341 programmer since it is the cheapest. But looking at the board i have no clue where this bios chip is.. can anyone help me right direction?
I circled the one i think is the bios chip… please correct me if im wrong please1 PhotoLast edited by mpower1226; 12-27-2023, 09:43 AM.Comment

I did. But i ended up having a pro to change the bios chip itself and then changed another chip for some reason. Costed almost same as the computer itself…Comment

by thinkcentreHello,
this is my first post at Badcaps and in general i am new to fixing electronics. I am looking forward to learn a bit more about diagnosing and repairing :-)
What I have around is a DELL OPTIPLEX 3060 Micro (USFF), which is not powering on, even not showing any signs of life (No amber / white LED).
I got a original 65W DELL PSU / Power brick (PA-12 / 074VT4) which hopefull should be the correct one. I could get another DELL PSU with the Partnumber 0G6J41 with the same 4.9mm DC Jack connector as the one I already have, but I dont think that would help (maybe... -
by orizonHi everyone,
I need help clearing the BIOS master password on a Dell OptiPlex Micro Plus 7020.
I have already extracted the 16MB dump using a CH341A Pro programmer and a SOIC8 clip. The NVRAM area seems to be encrypted.
- Model: Dell OptiPlex Micro Plus 7020
- Chip size: 16MB (128Mb)
- BIOS Chip: Winbond 25Q128JV
I've attached my original locked dump. Could someone please patch it or clear the password for me?
Thank you so much in advance!...-

by antol111Hi,
I have a
Dell Optiplex 7090 Small Form Factor
Service Tag: 9YB2RN3
Motherboard: CN-073Y7Y-FCW00-23O-032O-A00
Bios chip: W25R256JV
Attached are the original dump file, and the unlocked file from the Dell patcher that is available on this forum. I dumped the original bios three times and verified hash matched on all three dumps. I ran the patcher and it seemed to work and said it made changes. I wrote the unlocked file to the bios and when I turn on the PC it flashes orange 3 times, white 6 times which Dell says is the code for a corrupt...-
