i recently recieved a 7000 from my friendwhose parents own a computer shop. i opened it up to find iq caps mixed with some rubys - no surprise- my 5000 had the same setup
to my surprise, the motherboard i bought from another friend was the exact same board with one exeption- it had nova caps in the place of the iqs. the board came out of a custom build (it was a compaq board like the other) and it camefrom the friend's grandpa.
like my 5000, the 7000 with iq had no bad caps at all. the iqs were as normal looking as the rubys, go figure. all 3 of the boards run fine. is it possiblr that the 7000 with novas was a recap and if so, should i recap the other despite good caps (the bios is slower though)
