this motherboard went dead all of a sudden, and i really mean all of a sudden,was just watching tv ant it just turned off now it wont turn back on.The LED on the motherboard near the ram lights up when the psu is connected but nothing happens whrn the power button is pressed. I have tried changing the PSU but no use

Look for a broken CPU retention bracket. If yours uses one of those flimsy plastic Intel frames to hold the HSF, the processor will thermal down when it over heats. This happens quickly.
After that, strip the board of all cards other than video. Unplug all drives and devices that draw power. This includes all USB devices.
Reduce the machine to its lowest common denominator. This is fine for easter egging, and great if it isolates the problem. If not, you will actually have to diagnose the machine and see what gives. Start with power, the power-on circuit. Everything is suspect, including the Power button.
Another thing you can try during the easter egg phase is clearing CMOS.

If your old power supply is a BESTEC, you probably have a dead board. I have seen a high number of MSI boards go fatal as a result of crappy BESTEC supplies.
