MSI K7T266 Pro2 Possible Bad Caps....

Currently, I've noticed problems with my PC.

Started off by inserting a DVD into my slot load DVD drive (I have two). All of a sudden, the computer powers off, as if it had been unplugged. I pressed power on to repower, no luck. I flicked the switch on the back, waited, and tried again. It started then shut off. I troubleshooted for awhile unplugging power from drives to see if it was a PSU problem. Eventually it worked ok and ran smoothly until I tried using the drive again, which caused the same problem. I got the system to run again and the problem showed up three times in other situations before shutting down, one running programs and second was switching users on Windows XP.

The system would then not power on at all. I came to the conclusion it was my PSU since everytime i tried to power it, it would start then shut off. I bought a new case with a new PSU (since my other was 5+ years old and the case looked like I robbed a dump) and it seemed to work well. Then all of a sudden, restarts out of nowhere, EXTREMELY slow loading times (longer than before), pure freezing, and the blue screen of death. It noticably happens whenever i try to access the hard drive now, it resets or crashes now.

    My specs are as follows:

    Athlon XP 1600+
    MSI K7T266 Pro2-RU
1024 MB (two 512 MB Azen RAM PC2700)
    MSI GeForce4 MX 440 128 MB DDR
60 GB Western Digital 7200 RPM HD
40 GB Western Digital 7200 RPM HD
    LG 4080 DVD Burner
Pioneer Slot Load 16x DVD Drive
    300 W Generic Before (350 W Generic Now) PSU

Im having trouble noticing if the caps are leaking, although i failed to mention i've had this board for almost 3 years and one of the RAM sockets was fried (although it's never caused problems unless ram was in the socket).

Just trying to see if it's worth going for investing into a new Athlon64 and MoBo which im interested in but not necessarily needed at the moment. It appears that the board is acting the way it would with bad caps, but i want to be sure.
