Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me solve my problem, I have the case of a legion t5 where I have installed an asus tuf gamig a520m-plus motherboard, the audio connection cable on the case is an F_audio connector with 14 PIN , on my new motherboard the connector is a 10-pin AAFP, I saw that there are adapters on sale but at the moment I have no way of having them available in a short time, I made several attempts and managed to listen from the front headphones, only that there are some problems, the headphones are only detected if the microphone is connected, I definitely got confused with the connection of the cable detection and with the colors of the cables, but now my brain is in a loop of confusion and I can't find a solution, I attach photos to show the various pins, thank you all for listening.

Easy to solve in person rather to explain in words, especially after you have already moved around the color coded wires from their original position in the black connector header.
You're on your own for this one, buddy.
Perhaps ask a friend or a family member who knows a bit of electronic to help you sort out the mess.
All I can say is, to make it simpler, and make the Lenovo and Asus play well together, set it to AC97 audio and forget cable detections, because for AC97 audio you only need to figure out 4 color coded wires (GND, MIC IN, SPK OUT L, and SPK OUT R)Last edited by прямо; 12-11-2023, 12:57 PM.

Hi, thanks for your reply, with AC97 it works, with HD Audio it works, but the jacks are not detected, to detect the headphones I also have to connect the microphone, I have to try to act on the small circuit that controls the cables, the controls seem to be reversed of the microphone and headphones, thank you
