Dell Inspiron 7790 AIO not powering on

    Board is IPCML-CL REVa00

HI, I am trying to get this to power on to get data from a drive that has bitlocker, but there is no recovery key available.

I have 3.3v and 5v rails available, and I have 1.075v that, if I am following the schematic correctly, should be +1P05VSB (1.05v i believe?)

If I check pin 127 on the EC chip (PWRBTN#_IN), I see 3v, which drops to 0 when the power button is pressed. If I check Pin 52 (#PWRBTN), which again if I'm undestanding correctly, from power flow chart, goes to CPU, I have 3.3v which does not change if I hit the power button.

I have checked resistance on all coils, and none seem to have direct short. The lowest values I have are 4.6 ohms on two near the CPU, 6.7 ohms on another, and 7.4 on another.

My bench power supply shows 30-40mA when connected, and does not change when power button is connected.

I would appreciate any advice on where to go from here. I would try re-flashing the bios, and I think I have figured out the correct bios version from the dump I made, but while I have been able to extract the .bins from the update exe I don't yet know how to make this into a working bios, let alone with the DMI info copied so that it won't trigger bitlocker if I do get it working.

Have you tried a CMOS reset? Pull the RTC battery, short pins, and retry?

    Check pre-requisites for the MEC EC. VBAT, DAC_VREF, ADC_VREF, AC_DET, PCH_DPWROK etc

Yeah, I tried that before anything else. And thanks for the reply, I'll look into those.
