Asus Rog Strix X570-E Gaming winbond chip help

HI I was wondering if someone could help me.
My mate has got an issue with his Asus Rog Strix X570-E Gaming he was trying to fix a bios issue and made things worst. When I was Looking at pictures on the internet I have worked out that it has two bios chips and the 2nd one located near the 2nd full sized pcie x16 port is missing. What I need help with is....does anyone know where I can get/find the data which needs to be flashed onto this chip? I have attached a pic of the location of where the chip goes on the board..... The main bios chip is still on the board.

That's more than likely not the main BIOS chip. That looks like a missing controller of some sort to me.

      Found a boardview.
According to it it's a: FLASH WINBOND W25X20CLSNIG
Also looks like a 8.2K resistor is missing near it.

It seems too big, the flash chip I mentioned is only 262144 bytes?

Re: Asus Rog Strix X570-E Gaming winbond chip help

Different versions of BIOS have different TPU firmware (I compared the most recent one with oldest one on Asus website).
To find the TPU firmware I searched for "vboot" as ASCII text (not Unicode)
Then extract the firmware from there, see attached photos.
Seems they might not be interchangeable:

I only extracted GUID 38715E0A-ECD3-4776-8AC4-7D93510A7468 from bios version 4602 ,i didn`t check any older bios versions.

Just posted so that stevo1471 understands he first needs to know what main BIOS version is installed...

This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...
