Gigabyte Aorus X470 not starting randomly..

still trying to fix my aorus from ebay. had a question about bios functions some time ago. but bios is not the solution in my case as i mentioned first...

The board is randomly not turning on especially when is was without power for longer periode of time... it can last at least one hour to get it running.

i dont know how to fix that. its like a dead capacitor issue because if i´m patient enough i get it always up and running. i managed ti install new windows 11 to ssd few minutes ago.

i don´t get it... please help me. all voltages are present when the issue is present. at first i thought the 5volts on power on were missing but this is not the case. if i jumpstart the power supply the board is starting with sometimes dram debuig led on and sometimes cpu debug led on... but it is not starting at all until this strange issue is gone. it doesn´t even react at the power button ( 5V to gnd)

all components are testet as good with other components... if the board is on everything is fine....

i don´t know even where to look at... please leave a comment if u fell like u got something helpful for me to diagnose an rescue this board....

Let me give u my 5 cents of advice. Totally not starting at all symptom: fan never run, Psu never run. This one you have to check the starting circuit.no simple way out. It could be just a resistor cold solder.
I saw your debug led at ram . Does it stuck at ram led .

thanks for your reply... i´m following your advice to look for a fault in the power circuit... i couldn´t find a boardview of x470 but i found a x570 pro wifi and i think the curcuit should be very similar... from the first sight it is....

first i´m checking caps for short circuit then try measuring resistors.

your question: no to dram led... it´s sometimes this one or the cpu. doesn´t make any sense in my oppinion.. cpu led is also on while i´m bridging power supply to turn on. this at all times while the fault is present. as i said it´s very tricky to get this beast to working state...

i just found out that the failure has changed to an "never plug it out!" state...

as long as this mainboard is not without power it turns on fine...

if i unplug it it takes hours to start itself again... after a while debug leds are pulsing, about 30 tries to start... these circle´s.... then it powers on fine...

capacitor issue?
