hp dv8000 display problem

hello guys i have got an hp laptop and it does have a screen problem it is showing a big white vertical line on the screen i tried to push on the bands that go to the display but it does the same thing the blue one is smaler than it looks in the picture and i am not bothered by it as it is just a small line of dead pixels the white one is the one that is bothering me

can you try to connect on external vga or hdmi monitor. if have display?

yes on external display it shows the image correctly

can someone explain what is the problem on external is fine but on the lcd i have those lines i tried applying pressure on the lcd ribbon and no change was made

Lcd is definitely damaged .. Better change it .
